Happy Love Day!

Psalms 23:6 says, "Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

Isn't it good to know that God's love will follow us and our children all the days of their life. We've been thinking a lot about love this week as we prepare for Valentine's Day. We have been making treats for those special people in our life that we love so dearly and the kids celebrated "Love" day today at preschool with their friends.

Earlier this week Connor and Caroline sat with me on the couch and painstakingly picked out each Valentine for their friends. Boy, that was a process picking out just the right one for each friend. Some of their choices made me cringe but they loved it.

Today at preschool the older siblings went with Jeanne and made Valentine mailboxes to hold all their valentine cards. They were the most adorable mailboxes ever. They also learned the letter 'V.' We then loaded their mailboxes full of all the valentine's cards and let the kids sit on the rug and have at it. There was candy galore! They were in hog heaven!! It was so nice outside the kids went and played outside and even decorated heart shaped cookies with icing. We tried to get them to practice writing a letter on their cookie with icing but I think Connor and Caroline just ate the icing right out of the tube. They just couldn't seem to get the icing on the cookie.
