We are leaving for Sanibel this morning. I should be finishing up the last minute packing as we speak. Sand, sun & waves I can't wait. We'll be staying at the Sanibel Arms West again this year, this will be our third stay at this resort. Connor has been so . . . excited about going to the beach this year. This morning as Daddy was getting him dressed I could hear him crying. As I further investigated Craig told me that he was putting on Connor's sneakers and he started screaming "No these aren't beach shoes!"I guess he thought if he wasn't wearing beach shoes that means he was not going. So Daddy explained that his beach shoes were packed and that we are leaving for the beach soon.

Caroline
Sorry it has been so long since I've blogged. I wanted to share these two pictures of Caroline laughing. Laughter has been quite a rarity from her this week. She is teething all four premolars and it's about to kill us all. Allergies have hit Connor & I so we are trying to get better before we leave for Sanibel. Let the countdown begin - we leave Saturday! We can't wait! I'm sure I'll be blogging pics from the beach soon. Stay tuned!

Today was a good day!
Today was full of good news that I am so excited to share. Dr. Albino called with the results of Caroline's allergy tests. She isn't allergic to wheat, soy, or dairy and only borderline to egg whites so we have to do our own little experiment with the eggs since she has never had them before. Craig also got an interview scheduled with the charter middle school for next Friday the 30th. So be in prayer about that - this will be his first interview for a teaching position. I also learned that both of the students I tutored this school year passed the FCAT! I was thrilled because they both worked so . . . hard! So today was a great day and I am glad to share it with all of you! I am also posting some random pictures of the kids that I have been collecting for about a month now. One of Connor showing off his "Butterfly Garden" that he created all on his own and another of the oatmeal that somehow landed on his head one morning for breakfast. Last but not least a sweet pic of Caroline snoozing away! Enjoy!

Cheesy

As most of you know my kids have food allergies and can't eat dairy and other foods. I am always on the lookout for food substitutes so they can eat as normal as possible. Well we decided to take a little trip over to Sweetbay yesterday to get them some allergen-free cookies and I looked in the organic section as usual and came upon soy cheese. Neither Connor nor Caroline have ever had any cheese. So today they had their first Chicken quesadilla for lunch. I felt so excited to be serving them something that most kids their age have enjoyed for a while. I know this isn't the most interesting post ever but I wanted to give a little shout out to "Tofutti" makers of cheese my kids can eat. I feel like now the possibilities are endless we might even try an allergen-free version of Mac-n-cheese tonight.

SeaWorld
We took a little trip over to SeaWorld again with the McDonald's and Gigi! The kids loved playing in the water area. We also got to feed the Sea Lions and see a polar bear, walrus & Beluga whales. You'll also see a few pictures of the kids eating their first taste of cotton candy! Yummy! It was a wet & wonderful day!

Popsicle Playdate!
Popsicle anyone? I had to post these cute pics of my kids & the McDonald kids enjoying a popsicle today. They somehow all gathered together, with little direction from the adults, and sat on the foam mats on our porch and relished their popsicles. They were so sweet! I also wanted to give a little shoutout to all the New Kids on the Block fans with my music selection - Enjoy!

Our growing garden!
We started a garden back in February in the backyard. Nothing much just a little bit of this and that. Well Connor came running into the house yesterday exclaiming that there were "baby watermelons" and "baby green matatoes" in our garden. He calls tomatoes "matatoes" it is the cutest thing ever. So we quickly grabbed our cameras, his of course, was a Wal-Mart special Lightning McQueen camera and we ran outside to get some pictures of the garden.
