School Days

Connor celebrated the 100th day of school today.  He came home with colorful creations and stories to tell.  Apparently a caped hero came to visit today named "Zero" the hero for the 100th day of school.  I noticed the school was decked out when I dropped him off this morning. 

Caroline also had a good day at school today.  She came home with a "Way to Go" certificate for surviving a fire drill.  She's been freaked out by them ever since the beginning of the year.  I guess she overcame her fears today and made it through! 

I got a new trashcan & other random things

I got a new trashcan today.  I've been hatin' on my old trashcan for a while now.  I did a lil' research and found out Lowe's sells the mounts for the kind of trashcans that can be hidden in your cabinets.  We went and picked one up today and Craig installed it this afternoon.  Sad I know, it's the little things that excite me.

I thought I'd post a few pictures of the boys.  Connor's been sick this weekend.  It started with some stomach stuff but then turned into asthma.  I put him on the breathing machine this afternoon and he was so exhausted he crashed.  The other picture is of my rotten two year old and his nasty doggie that he can't live without.  I just love the look on Coop's face in that picture & you can spot my old trashcan.   

Caroline's Fourth Birthday

Although it's been a few days I thought I'd post a quick diddy about Caroline's birthday.  We decided to take the family to SeaWorld for Caroline's birthday and let her choose our agenda for the day.  We started the day opening gifts before we left for SeaWorld.  She loved getting more TAG books that go with her TAG Jr.  and a nice case to keep it all in.  Then it was off to SeaWorld.

     When we arrived we headed over to the dolphin feeding section.  As long as we have had annual passes we've never fed the dolphins.  It was one of those things we always put off because we had passes and we'd just do it on our next visit.  The time had come to feed the dolphins.  I took Connor & Caroline to feed the dolphins and Craig took Cooper to the underground viewing section to watch the dolphins swim.  The kids had a blast but they were still a little too short to see all the action.  After we ran out of fish I lifted them up to see but the dolphins were swimming just out of reach from them so they didn't get to touch them. 

    After feeding the dolphins we headed out to take a quick glimpse at the stinky penguins before the Whale & Dolphin show began.  After we saw the penguins she just had to have a little stuffed penguin as her birthday gift from us.  She affectionately named it "Mingo" and added it to her stash of "friends" that she sleeps with at night. 

Then it was off to the Whale & Dolphin show which is always a favorite with our family.  We then headed over to ride the carosel in which the whole family rode around.  We finished the day with an ice cream in a cone before we headed home. After we got home we walked next door and she got her birthday present from Aunt Pam & Uncle Brant - a new Zoobles play set. She loved it!  I can't believe my girl is four years old.

  Since her birthday was over Christmas break she had her "special day" at school a few days early before they left for break.  I was off from work so I helped make her a special "gingerbread girl" for her birthday cake to share with the class.  She loved adding all the sprinkles and colors to her girl.  She helped me mix it and bake it and decorate it.

 

Nose Pickin' & Grinnin'

Caroline had her Christmas Program last Friday night.  It was a crazy day but we all made it there in time and we were ready for a show.  We surely got one.  Caroline sang beautifully, it just so happened that after just about every song she had to do a quick intermission of nose pickin'.  I have it on video for her to view when she's 16.

 Connor had his first basketball game on Saturday.  We know it's not about winning or losing but it was nice for him to feel the success of winning his first game.  I doubt he really knows what's really going on completely but I must say he was so happy out on that court.  He had a grin on his face the entire game.  He even did this funny little jig after they made a basket.  He is truly a science nerd but it's been good for him to enter the sports arena. 

Tasty Trees

We made ice cream cone Christmas trees tonight.  The boys were way more interested in the tasty part than the tree part.  Caroline on the other hand was really into the decorating.  I was excited to see her artistic side really shine.  I loved her tree! 

Toothy Tale

Connor had his first visit from the Tooth Fairy last Thursday night.  His bottom tooth has been wiggly for weeks.  I finally got a good grip on it and yanked it right out.  No tears and barely any blood.  He was super excited to place it under his pillow and wait for the Tooth Fairy.  He says she took it so quiet but she left some glitter behind and Caroline swore she heard the Tooth Fairy knock on her door. 

Fall Holidays

 Wanna know what we've been up to lately?  Well I thought I'd share a few pics to catch you up. 

We've carved pumpkins.

Coop kissing his cat pumpkin.  He was bored with the whole carving activities so we just stuck some cat pieces on his pumpkin and he was happy.

  For Halloween this year the kids dressed up as their favorite characters:  Ariel the Little Mermaid, Thomas the Train, and Toy Story Army Men.

Connor went on his first field trip in November.  I got to go with him to Uncle Donald's farm and we had a blast.  His favorite part was at the end.  They put all the kids in a gated field and gave them a handful of feed.  Then they released all the goats into the gated field and the goats came running up to eat the feed right out of their hand.  The kids had no idea what was happening.  It was priceless to see the looks on their faces when the goats came running at them.

  Caroline & Connor both had Thanksgiving presentations at their school.  Caroline was so . . .cute in her turkey hat.  She sang for days and days. 

.  We had a wonderful Thanksgiving & now the count down to Christmas break and Caroline's birthday.  She reminds me daily that she won't be three for much longer.
