Allergen Free Valentine's Day Party

I wanted to blog some on the Valentine's Party we celebrated last week. It was an Allergen Free party with about 4 kids with food allergies attending. The kids had lots of treats that they could eat which is so unusual at a party. It was so . . . nice for Connor to watch his friends eat the same thing he does and for me not to worry about him grabbing someone else's food. It was also the first time he ever exchanged Valentine's. He had Lightning McQueen valentine's, of course! I read the kids a book about Valentine's Day before they exchanged cards. It was a great party! Thanks to Janet Kornegay for hosting! It was a real treat for us!

More Pictures

Here the rest of the pictures from the last blog. These shots are of Caroline playing with my pots & pans and Connor at the WinterFest.

The Latest

I've been feeling really bad about the shape of our blog lately. Our camera died on us so Uncle Brant has graciously let us borrow his. I have decided to just put a summary of pictures of what has happened since I blogged last. You'll see Connor & Craig working on our latest endeavor a garden in the backyard. I also got some cute shots of Caroline eating chocolate pudding. Hopefully we'll get a new camera soon and I'll be more diligent about updating the blog!

Saltine Cracker, Anyone?

I have had this love/hate relationship with the saltine cracker for the past few weeks. It seems to be the only thing that makes me feel better when I start getting queasy. But everytime I have to open that cabinet and grab the pack of saltines I just want to cry. I am so . . . sick of them. I can't wait until the day comes when I never have to eat another saltine cracker again. Never again will my bowl of chili be sprinkled with saltines. Never again will I pull out the saltines for a quick little snack. I just hope that day comes soon!

Oh Baby!

So today we went to the baby doctor to see baby #3 again. I was expecting to meet the new doctor in the practice but instead I had a really nice visit with the Dad of the practice, the old Dr. Moffitt. He even called me "little" boy do I like him! So I only gained 1/2 a pound and we got to hear the heart beat and then see the baby. We could actually see the head and little body. It amazes me how far technology can go! So hopefully one of these days pretty soon I will get some pictures of Caroline's first birthday party posted.

Future Fireman?

While we were up in Alabama we got to visit my uncle's fire station. Connor had a blast climbing all through the firetruck and honking the horn. Adorned with his fireman's hat he looked like the real deal!

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was special this year because it was in Alabama. We got to celebrate Christmas at Nannie & PawPaw's house. Caroline didn't know what was going on so it didn't really matter to her. Connor was just starting to understand Santa and all that jazz. He was actually a little scared to see what Santa had left him. Connor & Caroline both loved opening presents. It was cold & wet outside but we still had a lot of fun!
